Hosting an SDGs Workshop

On November 23, 2024, we organized and held a workshop on the theme of SDGs titled 'Save the Earth! What We Can Do for SDGs' at the Kyoto Satoyama SDGs Lab (KOTOS) in the Keihoku area of Kyoto City.

In the GRM course 'Global Resource Management and Sustainable Development Goals 2,' the students learn about the background and fundamental knowledge of SDGs while aiming to develop the ability to apply this knowledge through group work.

This time, the students enrolled in the SDGs2 course (2 GRM program students and 2 adult course students) organized a workshop for the attendees of the KOTOS Open Day at the Kyoto Satoyama SDGs Lab. The workshop, which included quizzes to make it enjoyable for participants of all ages, covered the background of SDGs, food loss, and waste issues."

Despite the diverse backgrounds of the enrolled students—ranging from humanities and sciences to working professionals—and the short period since the fall semester began, we all collaborated using online tools to prepare and create materials. With the enthusiastic participation of the attendees, we were able to conduct an engaging workshop.
