On-site Group Work Introduction: Visit to Daikin TIC

This course is designed to deepen the understanding of "On-site Group Work," which includes overseas training in August.

Graduate students from Doshisha University and employees of Daikin Industries, Ltd. are learning together.
On June 25, 2025, seven students visited the Daikin Technology and Innovation Center (TIC) in Settsu City. The students were divided into two groups and given a detailed tour of the facility.

In the exhibition room on the first floor and the lab on the third floor, they learned about the history and unique technologies of Daikin Industries. The exhibition room showcased the company's journey from its founding to the present, while the lab allowed them to see products incorporating the latest technologies.

In the lecture room, Daikin employees, who usually study alongside the students, explained their respective job roles and the fields expected to expand in the future due to the impact of climate change. They passionately discussed their work and the importance of technological innovation at Daikin, which greatly interested the graduate students.

During the on-site training scheduled for August in Belgium and the Netherlands, they will visit Daikin Europe, Ghent University, and Radboud University to deepen theirunderstanding of the European Heat Pump Heating Market and Europe's approach to energy issues. They will identify local challenges and consider the solutions in groups.
