" Diplomacy in a World of Belligerent Uncertainty "

We are honored to welcome Dr. David A Chikvaidze, Associate Fellow at the GCSP (former Chef de Cabinet of UNOG's Director General and former Deputy Chief of the Secretariat for President Gorbachev of the former Soviet Union), as a guest speaker on the theme of 'Diplomacy in a World of Belligerent Uncertainty.' 

Additionally, former Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Mr. Sukehiro HASEGAWA will join us as the moderator.

Lecturer's biography:
Dr. Chikvaidze's distinguished career spans nearly four decades in diplomacy, international relations and governance. 
His UN career involved significant issues such as humanitarian aid to North Korea, Western Sahara talks, 
Yugoslavia humanitarian aid needs, Afghanistan earthquake relief, 2013 Geneva rounds of the EU-led P5+1 Talks of the Nuclear Program of Iran. 
Prior to joining the UN, he served as deputy chief of the secretariat for President Gorbachev. 
He holds a PH.D. in political science and he is fluent in his native Georgian, English, French, and Russian.
