What’s GRM?

Acquire the

The GRM program is designed to acquire the "Wisdom" from the perspective of "Resource Management" to overcome difficulties. In addition, this program aims to develop individuals with broad and basic skills necessary for graduate students to play an active role in the modern society.

The GRM program is based on the spirit of liberal arts education. Along with the other programs, it constitutes the "Advanced Liberal Arts Course Group", a cross-disciplinary education with "Conscience" as its backbone.
These synergistic effects nurture a broad perspective and a high level of awareness that transcends specialized fields.

The GRM students study together across campuses, academic fields, and nationalities. This program consists of practical courses that combine lectures and exercises, with a special emphasis on field visits and on-site learning.

The GRM students will develop advanced literacy skills, not only to read and write, but to understand issues using the knowledge and information. More than 30 graduates who have acquired wisdom and literacy to overcome difficulties are active in Japan and overseas.

FAQ

  • A Yes, of course you can.
    Not all students are good at English from the beginning. Many students have challenged the English-based program and greatly improved their English skills. By the time you complete the GRM program, you will be more confident in your English.
  • A Most of courses will be held online.
    If any class is held on either campus, face-to-face (in Imadegawa or Kyotanabe ), you can attend the class from the other campus via Zoom. Therefore, there is no campus restrictions for taking the courses.
  • A Yes, you can choose any three of them.
    It might be a course related to an area that you have never studied, or that you have studied before. Which courses to choose depends on the course plan designed by each student.
  • A Yes, you can complete the program in a year.
    As an example, register a Compulsory course from the 1st Stage category and two Selective courses from the 2nd Stage category in Spring semester. After that, register the rest of Selective courses from the 2nd Stage and a Compulsory course from the 3rd Stage in Fall semester. If you earn all registered credits, you are able to complete GRM program.
    Alternatively, you can take courses in two or three years to complete.
  • A Deepening your expertise is of course important.
    On the other hand, it is also important to acquire a wide range of knowledge outside of your specialized field, as well as the basic ability to think from a multifaceted perspective.
    In society, there is a growing demand for practical abilities to integrate knowledge from various fields, and to deal with diverse and complex problems.
