Introduction to Peacebuilding The class introduces key terms and a founding idea of peacebuilding.  Participants will be familiar with terms and framework commonly used in peacebuilding and be able to grasp a major approach for peacebuilding.

16:40-18:10
UN and peacebuilding - challenges and lessons Participants will be able to understand an overall picture of UN peace operations.  The class specifically focuses on UN effort for peacebuilding and explores one of the most contentious issues in peacebuilding.

18:25-19:55
Participants' Presentation Presentations by the students nominated in advance. Please feel free to come and listen.

[講師略歴]
名古屋大学大学院国際開発研究科准教授を経て、2016年4月から現職。2005年～2010年タイ、チュラロンコン大学研究員・マヒドン大学専任講師。英・ブラッドフォード大学大学院卒業。MA及びPh.D.（平和学）。専門は平和構築および安全保障。主な著書は、『小型武器に挑む国際協力』（創成社 2013年）、『Human security in Southeast Asia』（Routledge 2010年）など。
